The Nutcracker Ballet - 2025: December 18-19-20-21
SWDC is home to Lewis County's original Nutcracker Production. This professional quality level performance is a holiday tradition for many in our community and a beloved performance of our dancers. The performing ensemble features over 130 dancers including our own students, as well as various community members. This production features handmade costumes, set pieces designed by local artists and more! The Nutcracker happens every year in December.

GENERAL AUDITION DAY: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2025

1:30: Creative Movement (Age 5+)
2:00 pm: Adults/Teen/Adult Ballet, Modern 4-5, Men & Boys

3:00 pm: Ballet 2
3:30 pm: Ballet ¾ for those who missed Intensive

Every year, SWDC invites dance companies from around the Pacific Northwest to our local community to perform. This show features the performing companies of various dance schools and always features a professional dance company from the surrounding area. Dance styles vary from ballet, to jazz, contemporary to hip hop. Dance Festival Northwest is held every March.

School Tour Production
SPRING 2025
At SWDC, we believe in bringing dance to the community. Each year, dancers participate in our "School Tour Production." We are excited to bring back our production this year for a performance featuring songs from Alice in Wonderland!
We will be performing at area elementary schools in May and June.
This mini-production features various styles of dance and often tells a familiar story such as Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, etc. The production is performed at local schools in Lewis County. The school tours production happens every year, May - June depending on our local schools availability.
