“Spring Into Summer”

Spring Into Summer is our end of the year all school recital. Every level and style of dance is featured in this performance. The all school performance is split into several sections, our "Tiny Toes" production featuring our parent/toddler, creative movement, Pre-Jazz Acro Bronze A classes and our school tour production, “High School Musical. All of our upper levels are also performing in the all school performance. "Spring Into Summer" is held every year in June.

Every year, SWDC invites dance companies from around the Pacific Northwest to our local community to perform. This show features the performing companies of various dance schools and always features a professional dance company from the surrounding area. Dance styles vary from ballet, to jazz, contemporary to hip hop. Dance Festival Northwest is held every March.

SWDC is home to Lewis County's original Nutcracker Production. This professional quality level performance is a holiday tradition for many in our community and a beloved performance of our dancers. The performing ensemble features over 130 dancers including our own students, as well as various community members. This production features handmade costumes, set pieces designed by local artists and more! The Nutcracker happens every year in December.

Parents, please note: Casting is completed, but keep in mind that Casting is subject to change at the Directors discretion. Rehearsals are ongoing and it is your responsibility to find the rehearsal for your part. If you have questions please feel free to ask. We want to help in any way we can.
School Tour Production
JUNE 2023
At SWDC, we believe in bringing dance to the community. Each year, dancers participate in our "School Tour Production." We are excited to bring back our production this year for a performance featuring songs from Mary Poppins!
We will be performing at: Orin Smith & Lintott Elementary schools in Chehalis; Ford’s Prairie, Edison and Oakview in Centralia and at Boistfort, Pe Ell, Adna and Mossyrock Elementary schools.
This mini-production features various styles of dance and often tells a familiar story such as Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, etc. The production is performed at local schools in Lewis County. The school tours production happens every year, May - June depending on our local schools availability.
